2DMinis
2DMinis is a free tool that turns your images into print-ready PDFs of 2D miniatures (standees). Upload your images, enter their in-game sizes and print!
Homepage: https://2dminis.fr
Getting started guide: https://2dminis.fr/guides/paper-minis
This is a personal hobby project, provided "as is" and "as available" to the community.
The core code has been homemade, but I confess the use of AI agent later on: I understand the code but can't take credits on it.
Features
- Any image: bring your own art, from any source.
- True relative scale: size categories per game system (D&D, life size, or your own) keep every creature at its right size next to the others.
- Fully local: no account, no upload. Images and minis never leave your browser (IndexedDB), and the app works offline once loaded.
- Paper-saving layout: automatic nesting on pages, single- or double-sided printing, folding bases.
- Artwork tools: background removal, cutout, contour borders, text on minis.
- Ready for print shops and cutting machines: RGB or CMYK (PDF/X-4) export, cut layers, cut files (SVG, DXF) and cut-out images for Print Then Cut.
- Free, no ads, no tracking.
Who is it for?
2DMinis is designed for tabletop gamers, Dungeon Masters, game masters, and wargamers who want custom miniatures without purchasing physical figures or manually preparing printable layouts.
